If you were stuck in traffic on the Indiana Toll Road (I-80/90) westbound near Michigan City, Indiana this morning, here’s why. Indiana State Police report a tractor-trailer was southbound on US 421 when it left the roadway, went down an embankment, onto I-80-90 and struck a pickup truck towing a trailer. The mishap occurred at about 6 a.m. A statement from the police said westbound traffic was diverted off the toll road at Exit 49 LaPorte. Police said there were injuries, but they did not appear to be life-threatening.
