Sometimes it’s tempting to just ask, “What if …” In this case, we were at the recent Walcott Truckers Jamboree at the Iowa 80 Truckstop, when we asked ourselves: “What if Harry Potter bad guy Lord Voldemort drove a truck, what would it be like?”
The Illinois-based Autullo said this is his take on the rat rod trucks being seen on the West Coast these days. It has 1939 Pontiac fenders and Buick headlights. Autullo says he has campaigned it at 19 shows and works it every day.
Autullo said his company, D-A Weld, which is located in Monee, Illinois is engaged in a variety activities. They build structures for the military, food trucks for chefs as well as other trucks. He also races a late model stock car.
His affinity for trucks has a family connection. He said his father was, at one time, the largest steel hauler in Chicago with some 400 trucks on the road.
