The biggest, baddest movie truck returns to the screens of your favorite multiplex next June when Paramount Pictures unleashes the latest sci-fi film based on toy trucks, “Transformers: The Last Knight.”

Starring as Optimus Prime, the leading transforming Autobot, is a new Western Star 5700XE. In addition, a Western Star 4900EX wrecker joins the cast as the Decepticon Onslaught.

“We’re excited and grateful for the opportunity to work with Michael Bay, Paramount and Hasbro again on the next installment of Transformers,” said Andy Johnson, brand manager for Western Star. “The response to the Optimus Prime trucks from our customers, dealers and employees – as well as from the general public – has been fantastic. We couldn’t have asked for a better opportunity to introduce the world to the all-new 5700XE.”

Developed specially for the Transformers film series, the Optimus Prime truck incorporates the styling found on the 5700XE, which Western Star said is its most aerodynamic truck.

“Optimus Prime is, hands down, one of the coolest trucks we’ve ever built,” said Johnson.

“Transformers: The Last Knight,” the fifth in the Transformers series, opens in theaters on June 23, 2017 in North America.

Aside from the trucks, “The Last Knight” stars Mark Wahlberg and Anthony Hopkins.

And now for a little Transformers trivia: Canadian Peter Cullen is the voice of Optimus Prime.
