Daimler Trucks North America issued a recall for some 253 model year 2019 Freightliner 108SD, 114SD, Business Class M2, Cascadia, Western Star 5700 and Freightliner Custom Chassis XC vehicles for an issue with air disk brakes.
DTNA says the brake caliper mounting bolts on the affected trucks may not be tightened sufficiently, which could reduce the effectiveness of the brakes.
Daimler will notify owners of affected trucks, and dealers will inspect and repair them for free. Owners can contact DTNA customer service at 1-800-547-0712 with recall number FL-816. NHTSA’s recall number is 19V-367.
