Recalls have been issued by two leading trailer manufacturers.

Wabash

Wabash is recalling certain 2027 van trailers. Incorrect wheel bearing lubricant may cause the wheel end to seize, which can result in wheel lock-up. Wheel lock-up can result in a loss of vehicle handling and control, increasing the possibility of a crash.

This recall applies to some 475 trailers.

Dealers will inspect and replace the wheel bearing lubrication as necessary. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed Nov. 25. Owners may contact Wabash customer service at 765-771-5404.

Great Dane

Great Dane Trailers is recalling some 2027 Champion and Everest van trailers. The trailer landing gear k-brace welds may fail, resulting in the landing gear collapsing. A trailer landing gear that collapses could lead to driver injury.

This recall applies to some 6,810 trailers.

Great Dane will inspect and replace the landing gear k-brace as necessary. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed Dec. 22. Owners may contact Great Dane's customer service at 877-369-3493
