Trucker dies in tanker explosion on Montreal highway

A truck driver died Tuesday, Aug. 9, after his tanker exploded on Highway 40 in Montreal, Canada. The roadway reopened Thursday, Aug. 11 after closing for two days following the accident. Another trucker attempted to rescue the tank truck driver, 52-year-old Gilbert Prince, but was unable to do so. The truck was carrying almost 12,000 gallons of diesel when it collided with another truck. Six other people were injured.
