A tractor-trailer entering a rest stop on the New York State Thruway northbound near Saugerties (Exit 20) overturned Friday, July 28, morning damaging three other vehicles and sending its driver to the hospital. The Kingston Daily Freeman reports that the truck was headed to the truck parking area when it as cutoff by another vehicle. The trucker swerved to miss the other vehicle — which police say fled the scene — causing the truck and trailer to tip. The identity of the truck driver and the extent of his injuries were not released.
