Parts of southern California continue to recover from rains and mudslides that followed in the wake of a recent record wildfire season. So far 17 people have been reported to have died in the mudslides and more than 60 homes destroyed in the community of Montecito near Santa Barbara. The photo below shows a tractor-trailer that was trapped in the flooding and the video below it shows a car racing flash flooding down a hillside street. Be sure to check for highway closures and travel conditions if your driving takes you to that area.
