Trucks collide; fire closes I-5 for several hours

Traffic was tied up for several hours following a massive, 13-vehicle chain reaction accident Tuesday night in Fort Tejon, California north of Los Angeles. The initial crash happened at about 9 p.m. in the northbound lanes of I-5 at the East Escape Ramp when two tractor-trailers collided and caught fire, according to media reports. A third semi reportedly slammed into vehicles that had stopped for the original mishap. Only three minor injuries were reported but traffic was snarled for more than five hours.
