This has been a tough week for truckers in the West, especially Colorado.

Not only were three tractor-trailers trapped in an avalanche on I-70 Wednesday, but media reports say as many as 16 trucks were blown over on I-25 and other highways in and around Colorado Springs by hurricane-force winds with gusts estimated at 101 mph Monday. The Colorado Department of Transportation issued restrictions for trucks from Monument, Colorado to New Mexico on I-25. Those restrictions were lifted Monday night.

Much of the West got clobbered in the last several days by Winter Storm Jupiter, which is forecast to track to the south and east delivering snow, rain and icing conditions. Get the details from the Weather Channel.

This collection of videos shows how trucks got tossed over and how many drivers simply stopped driving and sat out the big blow.
