Early last December Elon Musk, the mercurial leader of Tesla, SpaceX, the Boring Company, and X Corp. (the social media outlet formerly known as Twitter) presided over the long-awaited delivery of Tesla's Class 8 Semi to PepsiCo. At that event, Musk said the Semi "looks like an elephant moving like a cheetah."
Now, almost nine months later, those "elephants" are moving like "cheetahs" for PepsiCo's facility in Sacramento, California. Twenty-two Semis are deployed for work in the facility's yard, making local deliveries and going over the road as well.
This video from the North American Council for Freight Efficiency's Run On Less program details how PepsiCo deploys the battery-electric Semis, and includes insights from the drivers using the trucks.
