Good choice, bad choice: fast-food salads

Fast-food salads

Although ordering a salad at a fast-food joint commends healthy eating habits, make sure the greens you’re eating aren’t packed with as many calories and as much fat as a double Quarter Pounder with cheese.

Make sure to check for two ingredients that can compromise your salad: chicken and salad dressing. When ordering a salad with chicken, always opt for grilled. And for dressing, only use half the packet, or carry a favorite low-fat dressing in the cab cooler.
