Neil Young is out with his second studio album of the year.
This is not the Neil Young you have known since the days of Buffalo Springfield or Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young or even Crazy Horse. This is – unlikely as it may sound – The Godfather of Grunge fronting a 92-piece orchestra and choir. Storytone, which arrives Nov. 4, is the 35th studio album by this Canadian singer-songwriter and his second of this year. Not bad for a rocker who turns 70 about a year from now. The album is actually two different recordings of the same songs: one with the orchestra and chorus and the other just simple acoustic versions. 10 cuts for $14.99 on iTunes.
