Dark Side of the Mule
This CD is the middle offering of three to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Southern rock jam band Gov’t Mule. The first was Stoned Side of The Mule, a CD’s worth of Rolling Stone covers released on Black Friday last month. Dark Side of the Mule is, not surprisingly, a collection of Pink Floyd tunes recorded during a Halloween concert in Boston in 2008. (Coming in January is SCO-Mule, the third leg of this archival trio, which is a collection of three hours worth of instrumentals with John Scofield.) Dark Side of the Mule comes on one CD for $10; MP3 download for $13.49; vinyl for $29.44 and a deluxe set for $31.99.
