Even stone cold killers have soft spots. Keanu Reeves as the title character proves that point as a hit man who comes out of retirement to take revenge on the gangsters … who kill his puppy and steal his vintage Mustang. It also turns out that the bad guys are part of the Russian mob who employed Wick’s handiwork to rise to power. Yes, it’s complicated. But, for Reeves it’s pretty simple: kill ’em all and let the undertakers sort out the details. It’s a bit over the top, but it’s meant to be.
