C.W. McCall had a best selling hit with his CB-themed song Convoy and Hollywood grabbed hold and made a movie out of the tune. Kris Kristofferson was the Rubber Duck and Ali McGraw was his ridealong in what turned into a diesel-powered act of civil disobedience.
Convoy became a box-office hit and joined the list of favorite trucker movies.
