Starting tomorrow, Thursday, July 14, Walcott, Iowa is going to be the place to be if you are a truck driver or simply love trucks.
More specifically, Iowa 80, which bills itself as the world’s largest truck stop, hosts the 37th annual Walcott Truckers Jamboree, which opens at 10 a.m.. Last year more than 44,000 people attended the three day event that features music, a truck show, fireworks two nights and truck-related booths and activities.
The jamboree is free and open to the public.
Iowa 80 is located at Exit 284 of I-80.
The Iowa 80 Trucking Museum this year celebrates the 100th “birthday” of its 1916 Mack AC. The museum recently added more than 24,000 square feet of exhibit space.
