Vietnam Memorial replica gets lift from trucking

The Truckload Carriers Association and the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Fund have announced they will continue their partnership in 2017 to bring The Wall That Heals to communities across America.

TCA provides the opportunity for its member companies and professional truck drivers to drive the trailer hauling the exhibit, including The Wall replica and its accompanying mobile education center.

A 250-foot replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial, The Wall That Heals honors the more than 3 million Americans who served in the Vietnam War. It bears the names of the more than 58,000 men and women who died in Vietnam.

“Thousands of veterans are employed by trucking companies across the nation,” said TCA President John Lyboldt. “This partnership is an opportunity for us to honor and give back to those brave men and women who have served our country and sacrificed for our freedoms.”

TCA member Halvor Lines of Superior, Wisconsin will host The Wall from July 20-23.

“Halvor Lines is honored to have been awarded the opportunity to host The Wall That Heals in Superior in 2017. We are a proud supporter of military veterans and their families and look forward to sharing this experience with our community,” said Jon Vinje, president and CEO of Halvor Lines, Inc.

TCA members began hauling The Wall in 2015 and have now hauled The Wall to nearly 100 communities.
