As National Truck Driver Appreciation Week continues, carriers and others are honoring their drivers.
And, even loved ones are showing their appreciation as they share their thoughts with Truckers News’ i Luv My Trucker.
As part of its recognition of its drivers this week, Roadrunner Transportation Systems, Inc. handed out 11 Driver of the Year awards this week.
Honored with a framed certificate and cash award were:
- Besar Neci and Drilon Neci from Belleville, Michigan
- Javier Espino from Chicago
- Jim Sutton from Omaha, Nebraska
- Kenneth Sutton, Jr. from Atlanta
- Mauni Koloa from Los Angeles
-
Ray Dobson from Philadelphia
A statement from the company said the Driver of the Year awards are given each year to a select group of individuals who exemplify outstanding performance in safety, dependability, communication or community involvement.
“Each year we look forward to the recognizing our drivers and independent contractors during National Truck Driver Appreciation Week,” said Curt Stoelting, CEO of Roadrunner Transportation Systems. “Our team is extremely proud to celebrate and applaud the phenomenal work of truck drivers. We appreciate and commend their commitment to safety and on-time delivery.”
We also cruised about the social media outlets to see how other carriers and organizations were showing their appreciation. Here’s a sampling of what we saw.
