Hulu increases live TV price, decreases on-demand price

Streaming service Hulu is increasing the cost of its live TV subscription while decreasing the cost of its on-demand subscription next month.

The live TV subscription, which features over 60 channels, will be available at two price points. For $44.99 monthly, a $5 increase, subscribers can access Hulu and live TV with commercials. For $50.99 monthly, a $7 increase, subscribers can access Hulu and live TV with no commercials.

Hulu’s basic on-demand service will now cost $5.99, a $2 reduction. The on-demand service features over 85,000 episodes of shows and Hulu Originals. This service offers limited commercials.

The on-demand subscription without commercials will remain $11.99.

New subscribers will see the price change Feb. 26. Current subscribers will see the price change on their bills on the subsequent billing cycle.
