We recently asked truckers how they would like to be appreciated during National Truck Driver Appreciation Week, which begins Sunday.
Not surprisingly, most drivers echoed the classic movie scene from Jerry Maguire where Tom Cruise and Cuba Gooding Jr. are on the phone shouting, "Show me the money!" at each other.
Our online poll asked "How do you want to be appreciated during Driver Appreciation Week?" and the results found:
- 51.35% said cash
- 10.81% said company swag
- 10.81% said sincere thanks from a comapny executive
- 9.46% said free lunch on the road
- 9.46% said gift card
- 2.47% said more home time
