Trucking employment fell last month.
The U.S. Department of Labor’s most recent report said the for-hire trucking industry’s total employment fell by 1,400 jobs in January.
The department also revised December’s trucking employment total downward by about 5,000 fewer jobs than reported previously.
Trucking industry employment totaled 1.4625 million, up from last January’s 1.4554 million.
