A Michigan truckload carrier Tuesday announced it was raising pay for its drivers.
Whiteline Express, which is based in Plymouth, Michigan west of Detroit, said existing and new experienced regional drivers can earn as much as 50 cents per mile.
A statement from the company announcing the pay increase said, “Professional drivers are the backbone of the business. Because of their constant commitment to deliver, Whiteline is now delivering for their drivers with an increased pay package.”
Whiteline Express also offers a $5,000 sign-on bonus for experienced regional drivers; medical, life and disability insurance; quarterly safety bonus; 401(k) with company match; profit sharing; and paid vacation.
The carrier does not require a hazmat endorsement, hauls no-touch light freight and allows both riders and pets.
