Dale Earnhardt Jr., co-owner of JR Motorsports, NASCAR Hall of Famer, two-time Xfinity Series champion, and 15-time NASCAR most popular driver, helps Pilot celebrate the upcoming National Truck Driver Appreciation Week.
The No. 1 Pilot Flying J Chevrolet hits the track Aug. 28, with salutes to professional drivers on it.
Featured on the hood of the No. 1 Pilot Flying J Chevrolet is the saying “If you’ve got it, a trucker brought it” and on the rear of the car #ThankATrucker. The Driver Appreciation-themed car aims to inspire fans to thank professional drivers for their hard work delivering the goods we all depend on, according to a statement from Pilot.
Michael Annett, who has driven the Pilot Flying J car since 2007, will race the car:
- Aug. 28 at Daytona International Speedway
- Sept. 5 at Darlington Raceway
- Sept. 11 at Richmond Raceway
- Sept. 18 at Bristol Motor Speedway
“At JR Motorsports, we know the importance and value of our nation’s truck drivers," said Earnhardt at an event to reveal the Pilot car's new paint job. "Our drivers travel the country to NASCAR Xfinity Series events, and the trailers they carry allow us to do our job on the track each week. We join Pilot Flying J in thanking all the men and women who keep our country moving every day. Take the time today to #ThankATrucker."
