For the past two years, restrictions brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic disrupted not only the lives of many truckers and others working in the nation's supply chain but also the holiday celebrations of millions.
This year brought hope of a return to normal; families gathered and traditions renewed. But, a major winter storm has interrupted the travel plans of many. Flights were canceled and highway travel was made dangerous across much of the country.
But, for many of this country's truck drivers, not making it home for the holiday is normal. It's part -- a sad part to be sure -- of the job for many.
So our wish for all truckers no matter where you are is to have a safe and merry Christmas.
