Thanksgiving dinner may not be the time to go strictly by the book for your diet.

If you are trying to manage your weight, this time of year seems like one big, “Don’t!”

Thanksgiving dinner is not one of those meals that you must limit yourself; it’s almost impossible. It may be loaded with calories and fat, but just be smart, pace yourself, skip those things you won’t miss and be mindful of what you put on your plate .. and how often.

Afterwards, just plan on doing better.
