McLeod Express raises pay for drivers

McLeod Express today announced a pay increase for drivers, starting in February.

As part of the new pay scale, OTR company drivers for the Decatur, Ill. firm will receive 50 cents per mile, while regional drivers will receive 46 cents per mile. Through its Pay Protection Plan, the company ensures that drivers receive pay even if circumstances beyond their control limit miles in any given week.

“Our new pay increase is going to benefit our drivers immensely,” said David Gibbs, McLeod Express’ president. “I think with this, McLeod Express is going to be an even better place for drivers, We’ve always focused on what matters – great home time, full commitment to our drivers and excellent pay. This is just one more way in which we can show our drivers that we care, and want to keep their wallets brimming.”

McLeod Express began operations in 1986.
