Fast-thinking trucker helps rescue kidnapped woman

Law enforcement authorities are crediting an observant and quick-thinking trucker with helping to rescue a woman who was kidnapped, brutalized and forced into prostitution.

Numerous media outlets are are reporting that driver Kevin Kimmel called police Jan. 6 when he saw suspicious activity in an RV at a truck stop near Richmond, Va.

Kimmel reportedly told police he saw a person who appeared to be a young girl looking out the window.  He told a local TV station, “I saw a guy come up and knock on the door then go inside the Pilot — then quickly came back and knocked again, all of the sudden the thing was rocking and rolling.”

When they arrived, police searched the RV and found a woman who they said had been missing since Christmas Eve.

They arrested Aldair Hodza, 36, and Laura Sorenson, 31, both of Iowa, on federal sex trafficking charges.
