National Carriers names its first female driver of the year

Goldie Seymour and company President Jim Franck

Goldie Seymour is the driver of the year for 2014 for National Carriers (140th on Commercial Carrier Journal’s Top 250 Ranking).

It’s the first time in the Liberal, Kan. company’s 47-year history that a woman was given the honor. She has driven for National for three years.

“Goldie exemplifies the “Elite” Fleet,” says Jim Franck, president of National Carriers. ” Always a positive ‘can do’ attitude. She goes out of her way to be professional in everything she does. She is also the first female Driver of the Year at NCI. I am sure, the first of many to come.”

“Now that the shock has worn off, I want to thank all for granting me this honor,” said Seymour. “I have to say thank you to Jim Franck, Al Love, and Ed Kentner, all the customer service representatives, load planners and mechanics. There are so many people involved in this journey and I want all to know I appreciate you each and every one. Thanks again.”
