For the second time in less than a week, numerous trucks are involved in a major accident in Wyoming. The massive pile-up of an estimated 59 vehicles occurred in foggy conditions Monday at about 8 a.m. on westbound I-80 west of Laramie.

That stretch of I-80 westbound remains closed as of 7 a.m. MT., according to the Wyoming Department of Transportation.

Keep track of when I-80 will reopen here.

Heavy snow and poor visibility were blamed for another major accident on I-80 near here last Thursday.

The Wyoming Highway Patrol reports one fatality in the accident. A Canadian trucker is reported to have been arrested and charged with aggravated vehicular homicide in connection with that death.

Wyoming Department of Transportation reports 16 people were injured in the pile-up.

Making rescue efforts difficult was a fire involving a tanker truck said to be carrying Butyl Cellosolve.
