The police report of the accident say Moore was traveling westbound when he swerved to avoid a vehicle that was hydroplaning. He wound up in in the eastbound lane, colliding with Brainerd’s truck.

A truck driven by Scott Swank, 30, was the first of several vehicles to strike Brainerd’s truck.
