Look for more cops on I-94 in Michigan, Ohio & Indiana

Driving trough Michigan, Ohio and/or Indiana next week?

If so, you can expect extra law enforcement company beginning Monday, Dec. 7 as the state police in those states undertake “Eyes on 94,” what they say is a week-long “commercial vehicle crash reduction effort.”

According to a statement from the Michigan State Police, officers are going to focus on violations by commercial vehicle drivers that are likely to contribute to a crash.” They say they will look for:

  • speeding,
  • following too closely,
  • improper passing,
  • distracted driving
  • improper lane use.

“Eyes on 94” is, according to the Michigan State Police statement, is part of an effort to reduce the number of traffic deaths on freeways.
