Love’s Travel Stops is not slowing down its expansion plans in the new year.
The Oklahoma City-based company is coming off its busiest year for store development in company history, opening 27 new locations and adding more than 2,000 truck-parking spaces in 2015.
Love’s expects even greater growth in 2016 with plans to open 40 new locations in 28 states, the most the company has opened in any one year.
It also plans to work with three new restaurant organizations and add hotels at 10 of its locations.
“We remain committed to providing more safe places for our Customers to fuel, park and rest, and these newly constructed locations will add more than 3,200 truck-parking spaces to our network,” said Frank Love, co-CEO of Love’s
In addition to expanding along interstates, Love’s will open more than 20 locations along state and federal highways. All new travel stops will offer amenities such as showers, truck parking, DEF and quick-service restaurants.
“We maintain a robust remodel schedule to ensure that our existing locations remain clean, safe and well-maintained,” said Love. “Meanwhile, we continue to grow in other areas that complement our stores.”
Love’s will begin working with three new restaurant concepts in 2016, bringing Love’s total
number of quick-service restaurant partners to 19:
- Love’s first Dunkin Donuts will open later this month in Canaan, NY.
- Love’s first IHOP Express is scheduled to launch in Sidney, Neb., this spring
- Love’s first Taco John’s will also begin serving customers in Liberal, Kan. this spring.
Love’s interstate hotel business also continues to expand. The company currently operates four hotels. Ten additional locations are scheduled to open adjacent to Love’s stores this year.
Love’s has more than 360 locations in 40 states.
