Two major trucking events are on the calendar for March. Both the Truckload Carriers Association’s (TCA) annual convention and the Mid-America Trucking Show are dated during the month.

TCA 2016 Annual Convention in Las Vegas, Nevada

The TCA Annual Convention has been bringing trucking industry professionals together for 78 years. At the convention, industry executives come together to pitch strategies for carrying the industry forward.

An exhibit hall will have an awards banquet, products and services showcases, technology and more. Several speakers will talk at the convention, including Karl Rove. Rove was the Senior Advisor to President George W. Bush from 2000-2007 and served as Deputy Chief of Staff from 2004-2007.

The convention will be held at The Wynn Las Vegas in Las Vegas, Nevada, March 6-9. You can see the convention program here.

Mid-America Trucking Show in Louisville, Kentucky

Over 70,000 trucking industry professionals will head to Louisville for the Mid-America Trucking Show (MATS) at the end of the month. About 1,000 exhibitors will have displays set up in 1,200,000 square feet of space.

MATS began in 1972 with just 4,000 attendees and 83 exhibitors. The show has grown exponentially since then, becoming one of the largest yearly truck shows. Key show events include the MATS concert, fleet forum, PKY Truck Beauty Championship and a variety of seminars.

The show will be held at the Kentucky Expo Center in Louisville, Kentucky, March 31-April 2. You can see the show schedule here.  Truckers News will have boots on the ground at MATS, so check back in March for updates on our live coverage.
