No developments in truck stop stabbing case

A representative for the Sumner Police Department in Sumner, Washington confirmed there have been no developments in the truck stop stabbing case that left a trucker dead on the morning of March 8.

The body of Piotr Pietrzykowski, 52, was found in the cab of his truck at the Mustardseed Truck Stop around 5:34 a.m. on March 8. His truck is believed to have pulled in during the night. Pietrzykowski was from Illinois.

Truckersfinalmile.org, a non-profit, is raising funds to help cover the costs to have Pietrzykowski’s body transferred home after it was released from the medical examiner’s office. The non-profit is also offering a $2,500 reward for information that leads to an arrest and conviction in the case.

“We don’t want this to become a cold case,” said Robert Palm, founder of truckersfinalmile.org.
