AAA is expecting 34 million drivers on the roads this Memorial Day weekend, now through Monday, May 30.
Out of that number, AAA anticipates rescuing more than 350,000 motorists.
The weekend is expected to see the lowest Memorial Day weekend gas prices in 11 years, Some 55 percent of Americans say they’ll drive on the weekend this year because of those lower prices, according to a AAA survey.
The 38 million total projected travelers make this the second-highest Memorial Day travel volume on record. AAA says it’s the most since 2005, and about 700,000 more travelers are expected compared to last year.
