A bill increasing speed limits on some Michigan roads has advanced to Gov. Rick Snyder’s desk by state lawmakers.
Michigan currently permits motorists to drive 70 miles per hour on most highways, with truck limited to 60 mph on those same highways.
If the faster speed limits bill is signed into law, it will increase the speed limit on over 600 miles of highways to 75 mph for general motorists and trucks would be limited to 10 mph below the posted speed limit.
