A Missouri truck driver died in Minnesota Monday, Feb. 20, when a massive pipe he was helping unload rolled off his trailer and landed on him.
Numerous media outlets say David Earl Hyde, 38, of Fulton, Missouri was helping unload metal pipe at a construction site on Highway 169 in Minnetonka, west of Minneapolis when the accident occurred. KARE television reports, “When he unstrapped the load, one of the pipes rolled off the trailer and landed on him.”
Hyde was taken to Hennepin County Medical Center, where he died later in the day.
