Two webinars on the impending deadline to begin using mandated electronic logging devices will be held this week.
Electronic logging device manufacturer KeepTruckin and the American Trucking Associations will host separate webinars this week on the ELD mandate and what drivers and fleets need to know in advance of the Dec. 18 compliance date.
KeepTruckin’s free webinar will be held Wednesday, June 7 at 1 p.m. Eastern. Joe Rajkovacz, director of governmental affairs and communications for the Western States Trucking Association, will present the webinar. Those interested in attending the webinar can register in advance here.
Some topics covered in the webinar include the legislative and regulatory history of the ELD mandate, the legal challenges the mandate has faced, the current state of the mandate and its future, different exemptions allowed by the rule and more.
ATA’s webinar, scheduled for Thursday, June 8 at 2 p.m. Eastern, will be presented by Joe DeLorenzo, director of the Office of Enforcement and Compliance for FMCSA and is open to ATA members only. The group says DeLorenzo will provide “up-to-date and accurate information on ELD implementation” and will “provide an overview of the key things you should know about the ELD rule.”
Free registration for the webinar, which is sponsored by TransForce, can be done here.
