Idaho driver slightly injured in crash with train

The driver of a tractor/trailer pulling a flatbed loaded with bales of hay suffered minor injuries when his truck collided with a moving train in Idaho Tuesday, Jan. 2.

Idaho State Police report Zakary M. Shurtliff, 21, of Hamer, Idaho was driving eastbound on State Highway 33 at about 3 p.m. Tuesday when he struck the last box car of a train just east of the Sage Port of Entry.

Police say Shurtliff was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash, and the crash remains under investigation.
