That also applies to the request for public comments on the Owner-Operator Independent Drivers Association’s request for an exemption from the electronic logging device mandate for small trucking businesses.
The comment period closes today — Thursday, Feb. 1, — at 11:59 p.m. Eastern time.

The exemption, if granted, would apply to businesses with up to $27.5 million a year in revenue which have no at-fault crashes on their record and have a “Satisfactory” or “Conditional” safety rating.
