ABF Freight driver Tim McElwaney walked away from the Georgia Truck Driving Championships as the grand champion. The driving skills competition, put on by the Georgia Motor Trucking Association (GMTA), was held May 10-12 in Lake Lanier Islands, Georgia.
McElwaney also won first place in the 5-Axle class.
UPS Freight driver Joey Whitaker was honored as the Rookie of the Year. The association also named Tim Taylor as its Driver of the Year during the event.
