Pensacola State College plans to open a trucking school in Milton, Florida, by the fall. Channel 3 News reports that Pensacola State College President Ed Meadows looks to purchase 10-12 acres of land off of I-10 at the Northwest Florida Industrial park.

Meadows told Channel 3 News that the trucking school’s tuition fees will be covered by CareerSource Escarosa. The program will have space to enroll at least 36 students a year.

The college’s goal is to be able to offer classes starting in the fall. Meadows cited growing demand for truck drivers as a reason for opening a new trucking school.
