Roadrunner honors its drivers of the year

As part of its National Truck Driver Appreciation Week observance, Roadrunner Transportation Systems honored two drivers of the year.

Recognized by the Downers Grove, Illinois-based carrier were Wes Coffee and Shawn Beard.

Beard has been with Roadrunner 14 years and has driven 1.85 million safe miles. Roadrunner says he was recognized for his “professionalism, safety-conscious attitude and his commitment to getting loads delivered in a timely manner. He treats everyone with respect and goes above and beyond every day.”

Coffee has driven for Roadrunner for five years, logging 388,000 safe miles. A statement from the company says Coffee won the award “because of his dedication to following all safety measures, his caring and respectful attitude and his dependability. He mostly helps with loading and unloading of local loads and always makes sure the job is done thoroughly and professionally.”
