Grain truck strikes crane truck on I-15

One driver was injured Monday, Oct. 28, when his truck slammed into the back of a heavy-duty crane truck on Interstate 15 in Idaho.

Idaho State Police said in a statement that Robert F. Sorrell Jr., 45, of Pocatello, was northbound on I-15 in a 2000 Kenworth pulling two trailers loaded with corn. Michael J. Lint, 53, of Idaho Falls, was driving northbound on I-15 in a heavy-duty crane truck.

Police said Sorrell’s Kenworth hit the rear of the crane truck, which was traveling at about 45 mph in the right lane. Sorrell was transported to a local hospital for treatment of his injuries.

The collision occurred at about 1: 15 p.m., according to police, who continue their investigation.
