If your driving takes you through the Kansas City area on Interstates 70 and/or 435, be prepared for some possible delays as major construction occurs.
The Missouri Department of Transportation said there will be lane closure as part of a larger construction project. MoDOT advises:
- The left lane of westbound I-70 from Stadium Drive to Manchester Trafficway will be closed for median work both Monday, Feb. 17, and Tuesday, Feb. 18 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily.
- The left lane of eastbound I-70 from Manchester Trafficway to Stadium Drive will be closed for median work both Monday, Feb. 17, and Tuesday, Feb. 18 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily.
This is part of a major project at the I-70/435 interchange, which MoDOT said “will have significant impacts on traffic for two full construction seasons.”
