12 semis involved in 30-vehicle pileup on Interstate 90 in Washington

Twelve tractor-trailers and 18 other vehicles today were involved in a massive pileup on Interstate 90 near Ellensburg, Washington about 105 miles southeast of Seattle.

One truck driver is said to have been hospitalized for injuries in the series of collisions that occurred at about 5:30 a.m. 

Authorities told Fox 13 temperatures were about 20 degrees and there was fog and ice on the highway.

Eastbound I-80 was expected to be closed for from 10 to 12 hours.
