House committee to hold hearing on State of Transportation and Supply Chain Challenges

The U.S. House of Representatives Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure holds its organizational meeting and a hearing Wednesday, Feb. 1

Chaired by Rep same Graves (R-Missouri) the organizational meeting begins at 9:30 a.m. It's followed at 1 p.m. by a hearing on The State of Transportation and Supply Chain Challenges.

Testifying at the hearing are:

  • Chris Spear, President and Chief Executive Officer, American Trucking Associations
  • Ian Jefferies, President and Chief Executive Officer, Association of American Railroads
  • Jeff Firth, Vice President, Hamilton Construction, on behalf of Associated General Contractors of America
  • Roger Guenther, Executive Director, Port Houston
  • Greg Regan, President, Transportation Trades Department, AFL-CIO

Graves recently named the chairmen of the various subcommittees; They include:

  • Subcommittee on Aviation: Rep. Garret Graves (R-Louisiana)
  • Subcommittee on Coast Guard and Maritime Transportation: Rep. Daniel Webster (R-Florida)
  • Subcommittee on Economic Development, Public Buildings, and Emergency Management: Rep. Scott Perry (R-Pennsylvania)
  • Subcommittee on Highways and Transit: Rep. Rick Crawford (R-Arkansas)
  • Subcommittee on Railroads, Pipelines, and Hazardous Materials: Rep. Troy Nehls (R-Texas)
  • Subcommittee on Water Resources and Environment: Rep. David Rouzer (R-North Carolina)
