The 18th and 19th of nearly two dozen “super loads” will depart the dock site in Adams County, Ohio Friday, Sept. 20 and Saturday, Sept.  21. Both loads will be delivered at different times on Sunday, Sept. 22.

Both loads are absorbers and are identical to the 17 load measuring at 17’4” tall, 18” wide, and 86’ long. They weigh 129,000 pounds.

Load 18 will travel from Manchester to Rickenbacker on Friday.. Load 19 will make the same trip and join Load 18 at Rickenbacker on Saturday. Load 18 will depart at about 6:30 a.m. on Sunday, and stop at Freedom Way in Pickerington. The crew will then go back to Rickenbacker and transport Load 19 through the city of Columbus all the way to the Intel site. Upon delivery, the crew will backtrack to Freedom Way and continue the route with Load 18 to delivery.

Since these loads are smaller, the traffic impacts are expected to be minimal, according to the Ohio Department of Transportation.
