
One of the leading events on the truck show calendar will feature an outstanding country band.
The Walcott Truckers Jamboree at the Iowa 80 truck stop recently announced that Little Texas will perform Friday night of the three-day event.
The band that reached the number one spot on Billboard with "God Blessed Texas," will perform on the jamboree's main stage Friday, July 11 at 7 p.m.
Little Texas' debut album, "First Time For Everything" charted five singles in 1991, and their second album, "Big Time" came out in 1993 and included "God Blessed Texas."
Other musical entertainment at the jamboree includes:
- The Jimmy Welty Band, Thursday, July 10 at 5 p.m.
- Casey Muessigmann, Thursday, July 10 at 7 p.m.
- Angela Meyer and the Western Stars, Friday, July 11 at 5 p.m.
- Dani Lynn Howe and Band, Saturday, July 12, at 1 p.m.
The jamboree includes a truck show, numerous games for kids, a pork chop cookout, display of vintage trucks and the Truckers Olympics.
